It's Been a Long Time Coming

At least that's how the old (yes I'm really aging myself here) Eric Carmen song began. It has been a while since I've posted and many great and terrible things have happened in the meant time. I will not make vows of diligent posting in the future but I will try to be better about paying attention to my little writing blog.

I have a few goals for the future of this blog and will work towards those goals. In achieving those goals, I should find myself posting here more regularly than I have been in the past. It may not be every day but I will definitely make ever effort not to let my blogging take a backseat to other projects.

If many of you are like me, it sometimes becomes difficult to divide your focus between those projects that pay the bills now and those that are labors of love more than anything else. With blogs, most of the time that is what they are. There are a few however, that manage to bring in money for their owners one way or another.

At any rate, I'm curious as to how many readers wage war with demanding work schedules and the need for creative release that often comes with blogging. Please feel free if you're reading this to leave a comment. I'm definitely all ears and would love, more importantly, how you combat those feelings of guilt for either neglecting your blog or taking that time away from your other clients or family. It seems that we often have a hard time achieving that perfect balance we keep hearing about. If anyone has tips, hints, and clues, please share. For now, I'll get back to the work that does in fact pay the bills.
